Athletic Director Leadership Team (ADLT)

Alana Chung holds a Master’s in Sports Management and Administration and has 12 years of experience in education. She has served as an Athletic Director for 8 years and was named the CSADA CIF San Francisco/Oakland Athletic Director of the Year in 2024. At KIPP King, she’s successfully coached the girls' varsity volleyball team to three consecutive BACSAC championships and has a proven track record of growing athletic program participation, strengthening school spirit, and elevating competitive performance across multiple sports. 

This is Alana’s third year serving as a member of the ADLT.
Alana Chung, KIPP King
Abraham Salazar serves both as the Athletic Director and Education Specialist responsible for supporting the academic success of students in the 10th and 12th grades at Oakland Unity. An alumnus of Oakland Unity (2011), Salazar completed his undergrad at UCSB, after which he’s returned to his community and been a dedicated leader fostering both the academic and athletic growth of students. In 2025, Abe was honored with the CCSADA Norm Mackenzie Rookie AD of the Year, a recognition that reflects his commitment to leadership, service, and the development of student-athletes. 

This is Salazar’s third year serving as a member of the ADLT.
Abraham Salazar, Oakland Unity
Jamen graduated from Wabash College with a degree in Psychology before beginning his career in recruiting. Driven by a passion for global and youth engagement, he joined the Peace Corps and spent three years living in Kosovo as an Education and Community Resource Advisor. After returning to the U.S., Jamen relocated to the Bay Area, where he has spent the past five years working in high school administration and athletics, helping young people grow as students, athletes, and leaders. 

This is Jamen’s first year on the ADLT.
Suter-Donaldson, ARISE
Mikael Wooten serves as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at AIMS K-12 College Prep. Before moving into administration, Mikael spent eight years as a Physical Education teacher in the Bay Area, where he built a strong foundation in student engagement and health education. In his current role, he oversees department operations, builds community partnerships, and implements systems that support athlete wellness, academic eligibility, and program growth. As Dean of Students, he also leads efforts in student discipline, culture building, and creating a safe, supportive school environment. 

This is Wooten’s first year on the ADLT.
